We start with a consultation before your treatment to identify your skin concerns and discuss your goals. This conversation often includes medical and family history to determine the right treatment for you.

We’ll also talk about your expected results and risks before proceeding. The Perfect Derma Peel is suitable for all skin types and tones, and we can customize this treatment for you.

No need to worry about pre-peel skin prep before your appointment. We take care of everything—from cleansing your skin to removing makeup and skincare products. Your aesthetician will apply the peel solution to cover the treatment area. You may feel a slight tingling sensation, but it should fade quickly.

There’s minimal downtime after The Perfect Derma Peel. However, we recommend skipping makeup application until Day 2 to let your skin heal.

During your first few days post-peel, you’ll notice the gentle sloughing away of thin layers of the epidermis (your outer skin layer). This “peeling” process can last for a few days, and it’s usually completed within a week.

That’s when you’ll begin to see your results. It’s off with the old, in with the new—refreshed and radiant.

What Do I Need to Know?

The Perfect Derma peel formula combines powerful ingredients like kojic acid, TCA, retinoic acid, phenol, salicylic acid, and vitamin C.

What truly sets this medium-depth peel apart is glutathione.

Glutathione is a potent antioxidant found in every cell, including your skin. It’s made of 3 types of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. The gradual decline of glutathione can contribute to visible signs of aging.

The Perfect Derma Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that offers moderate exfoliation. This treatment can benefit the top layer of your skin (epidermis) and the upper part of your middle layer (dermis). 

The treatment takes around 30 minutes with minimal post-treatment downtime.

The results of a medium chemical peel often last up to 6 months. Your results depend on your skin type, the type of acid solution used, and your aftercare routine. Our aestheticians can perform a thorough skin analysis to build a custom skincare routine to help sustain your desired results.

Post-Care for The Perfect Derma Peel

When scheduling your peel, remember to give yourself time to heal so you can experience the full benefits. Don’t scratch or pick at old skin. Avoid makeup and harsh products until you’re fully healed.

Your aesthetician can provide you with detailed aftercare instructions.

On your chemical peel treatment day, leave the solution on your skin for about 6 hours. Avoid washing, touching, or rubbing your skin. And hold off on applying SPF or makeup for now. During this time, the treated area might feel tight and appear darker.

Once the 6-hour mark is up, you can cleanse your skin with water and a gentle cleanser, or you can even leave the peel on overnight as the peel self-neutralizes after 6 hours. You can now apply the Post Peel Moisturizer from your Patient Home Care Kit if needed.

  • Gently wash and dry the treated areas of your skin.

  • Vigorously apply the first square, folded Post Peel Towelette to the treated areas.

  • As the towelette dries out, unfold it completely and apply until all the solution is used.

  • Allow your skin to dry for 30 minutes before applying Mineral Perfection SPF 30. You should re-apply the SPF every 2 hours during sun exposure.

  • You can wear makeup if that’s part of your regular routine.

  • Gently wash and dry your treated skin about 30–60 minutes before bedtime.

  • Vigorously apply the second square, folded Post Peel Towelette to the treated areas.

  • As the towelette dries out, unfold it and apply until all the solution is used.

  • Leave the towelette solution on overnight.

If you’re experiencing skin irritation, you can apply a small amount of Post Peel Moisturizer 2–3 times daily. You can also use a cold compress on the treated area.

Avoid excessive sweating, swimming, sauna, heavy exercise, or sun exposure during the peeling process, as these activities can cause skin irritation.

Peeling usually begins on day 3.

Apply a thin layer of Post Peel Moisturizer 2–3 times daily to the treated areas once peeling begins. The moisturizer can help control dryness and relieve tightness.

If Post Peel Moisturizer runs out, let us know! We can recommend an over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone cream as a substitute.

Additional Tips:

  • Do not rub, pick, or pull on peeling skin, as this can cause scarring.

  • Do not use scrubs, masks, or harsh products like retinoids.

By day 7, the peeling process is usually complete, but some mild peeling may continue in some treated areas. Keep wearing Mineral Perfection SPF 30 as your skin recovers.
