About Pigmentation, Veins, Acne, & Rosacea Treatment
We use lasers as a treatment to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, veins, acne, and rosacea.
These types of issues are common and nothing to be ashamed of. But we completely understand that they could mess with your self-image. We want to help you feel confident in your skin, which is why we are happy to offer treatment options tailored to you.
Pigmentation
We use a laser resurfacing technique to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation with both ablative and non-ablative lasers. We’ll discuss what method may be better for you during your consultation.
Veins
We treat spider veins and a range of other vascular lesions using a non-ablative laser. The laser radiates energy into the targeted vein. The blood inside the vein absorbs the energy and turns into heat, which damages the walls of the vein. The damage causes the vein to seal and collapse, rerouting blood flow through nearby veins.
Eventually, your body reabsorbs the collapsed vein the same way it heals from a bruise.
Acne
We treat both active acne and acne scarring. For active acne, we use a laser to selectively target overactive sebaceous glands. The laser radiates energy to the optimal depth of the skin, where it damages the targeted sebaceous glands with heat. The same heat energy stimulates collagen and elastin production, which helps your skin heal faster and smoother.
We can use the same laser for acne scar revision. By beaming energy into the scarred tissue, we increase collagen and elastin production for a smoother skin texture. The laser also gently vaporizes the micro thin layers of acne-damaged skin. What’s left is healthy, radiant, and undamaged skin.
Rosacea
We can recommend the best treatment for you, depending on the severity of your rosacea and where it’s located. Typically, we use a non-ablative laser to diminish the appearance of blood vessels.
