Skin Tightening & Face Lifting

The Fotona 4D™ process is a 4-step series of treatments.

First, we start with a collagen induction treatment called SmoothLiftin™. Using gentle heat application, we stimulate your skin’s collagen production. We apply this treatment from inside the mouth to reduce the appearance of jowls or nasolabial folds. Patients generally describe SmoothLiftin™ as painless.

Next, we move on to FRAC3® treatments. During this stage, we will use a special laser to target deeper irregularities like age spots and spider veins. By reducing the appearance of these areas, we can make your skin texture look smoother and younger.

The next treatment in the process is PIANO® tightening. We’ll quickly and safely heat your skin from the outside in with a special sort of brushing technique. The heat energy helps reduce laxity in specific areas of the face.

Finally, we move on to your SupErficial™ treatment. This part of the process polishes off your look with peel. By sloughing off the very outer layer of skin cells, we reveal the fresh, new skin underneath. The result is fresh and glowing skin.

Results will vary somewhat from person to person. You may notice some mild redness or swelling, but that should dissipate within a few hours. Most patients can return to their every-day activities after their treatments.

Skin tightening produces less immediate and drastic changes than a procedure like skin resurfacing. However, it’s also a procedure with less discomfort and downtime for patients.

During your treatments, you may feel a gradual warming sensation in the treatment area. Most patients report the sensation comparable to being snapped with a rubber band.

Typically, you’ll notice changes in your skin immediately following treatment. However, because the procedure helps to stimulate natural collagen production, optimal results may take up to a few months.

Typically, patients get the best results after 3-4 treatments with 2-3 weeks between each appointment. Your service provider will tell you approximately how many treatments you will need at your initial consultation.

Skin tightening treatments are less invasive than other procedures, such as skin resurfacing, where superficial layers of the skin are removed. The simplicity of the technique used means it has minimal risks. The most common temporary side effects are minor redness and swelling.
