We offer Skinceuticals’ Gel Peel, which consists of 20% glycolic acid and 10% lactic acid. This formula is designed to exfoliate skin while reducing irritation and dryness.
First, we’ll protect certain sensitive areas of your face with petroleum jelly and goggles. Next, we will apply the peel solution to your face. After the appropriate process time, we will neutralize and remove the peel with warm water. We may also apply a special calming mask for 5 minutes or so after your treatment to give you optimal results.

Your skin may feel a little bit sensitive immediately after treatment, but it should subside shortly.

Within 10 to 15 days, the outer layer of skin will most likely have completely peeled away. For best results, you will probably need 4-6 treatments, each spaced approximately 2 weeks apart.

Like glycolic acid, lactic acid is an exfoliant, although it is milder and more gentle on the skin. Lactic acid can also help clear oils and debris out of your pores, which makes them appear smaller.

Taking good care of your skin will help you look and feel younger. After a peel, you should always wear sunscreen and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

Avoid scratching or picking at your new skin growth. You should also avoid makeup until your skin is fully healed.

Light and medium chemical peels may only take around 15 – 30 minutes to complete. However, you should take healing time into account when scheduling a peel.

Deep peels can take up to 90 minutes and require lengthy downtime for healing.

As the skin continues to grow and age, results from a peel are not permanent. However, with proper aftercare and a good skincare routine, the effects can last for years.
