Microdermabrasion is a professional exfoliation and skin rejuvenation procedure that leaves your skin feeling softer and looking brighter. We offer a special kind of microdermabrasion called Bela MD.

This non-invasive system offers diamond microdermabrasion, serum infusion, deep muscle stimulation, and more. It’s a unique approach to microdermabrasion that offers immediate and targeted results.

The Conversation

Before we get started with any treatment, we will have a no-obligation consultation to pinpoint any issues and talk about your goals. This conversation will involve relevant medical and family history to ensure the treatment you are seeking is right for you.

We will then discuss your expected results and any associated risks with the procedure before moving forward.

The Process

The Bela MD system uses a small handheld device with a diamond tip to deeply exfoliate your skin and immediately infuse your skin with the serum that best suits your needs. At the same time, the device will also deliver antioxidants with hydrogen water infusion, microcurrents to tone muscles and improve circulation, and electroporate your cells to help the serum work more effectively.

This system offers 4 different serums. We will choose the one that best suits your needs, giving you more effective results.

The Results

There is little to no downtime after microdermabrasion, so you should be able to resume daily activities immediately after treatment.

You may need multiple treatments for ideal results, usually with 2 weeks between each treatment. We’ll discuss what will work best for you during your consultation.

What Do I Need to Know?

How Much Skin Does Microdermabrasion Remove?

Microdermabrasion is comparable to heavy-duty exfoliation. The treatment only removes the very outer layer of the epidermis, which is mainly made up of dead skin cells.

Does Microdermabrasion Treat Acne?

Many patients use microdermabrasion as a treatment for mild acne with whiteheads and blackheads. We don’t recommend microdermabrasion for red and infected pustules. The team at Iconic Beauty will recommend the course of treatment that’s right for you.

Can I Wear Makeup After Treatment?

Microdermabrasion does not break the skin, so you can wear cosmetics following treatment.

Is Microdermabrasion Painful?

Microdermabrasion treatments remove very little, if any, living tissue, so the procedure shouldn’t be painful. Most patients report mild discomfort on the delicate skin around the eyes. Otherwise, the treatment is a generally pleasant experience.

Our experienced staff wants to help you prepare for your treatment, and we provide comprehensive pre-care and post-treatment instructions and care.

Pre-Care

We provide specific pre-care instructions for our patients to follow:

Do not use Accutane (acne medication) for at least 6 months before treatment.
Discontinue the use of any topical AHA’s (retinol, vitamin A) for at least 3-5 days prior to your treatment.
Avoid the use of depilatories, waxing, or any product or treatments that may irritate the skin for 1 to 2 weeks prior to your treatment

Avoid sun exposure or the use of tanning beds at least 14 days prior to your treatment. Wear sunscreen with a minimum SPF30 at all times when outdoors. Please note sunburned skin cannot be treated.
Please ensure that you have not had any injectables, neurotoxins, or fillers for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.
If you have a history of herpes or cold sores, you may require an anti-viral prescription prior to treatment.
Some medications or supplements may increase sensitivity. Consult your technician.
It is your responsibility to notify our office and/or your technician if there are any changes to your medical history or medications you are currently taking.

These pre-treatment instructions can help promote the safety and effectiveness of your skin treatment.

Post-Treatment

Following your skin treatment our team wants to help you feel your best and accelerate the recovery process:

Your skin may have a slight rosy glow for approximately 24 to 48 hours after treatment. You may also feel like you have a mild sunburn if your skin is extremely sensitive.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 1-2 days after your treatment. Use sunscreen daily that blocks UVA and UVB rays, preferably one containing an SPF30 or higher. We recommend Colorescience Brush-on Shield, a physical broad-spectrum, chemical-free sunscreen with an SPF50.
Avoid any irritants such as products containing bleaching creams, Retin A, Retinol, glycolic/salicylic acids or astringents for at least 1 week after your treatment.
Avoid submerging the area treated in a chlorinated pool or hot tub for the next 3 to 5 days.
Do not pick or pull any loosening or peeling skin. This could potentially cause scarring or hyperpigmentation.
You may or may not experience peeling and flaking of the outer, dead layer of skin within the first few days after your treatment; this is normal.
Acne may temporarily look worse after the first treatment but will improve after additional treatments.
Your technician will recommend post-treatment skin care products for you.
